India to see significant
engineering work due to offset clause
Engineering Services Offshoring (ESO) promises to be
the next big opportunity for Indian companies.
According to Nasscom, the worldwide spend on
engineering services is $750 billion per year, out of
which $10-15 billion is offshored. India gets a mere
$500-600 million worth of ESO work a year.

QuEST works on aerospace supply
chain SEZ
ENGINEERING services major Quest is collaborating with
business partners to establish a 300-acre special
economic zone (SEZ) in Belgaum, Karnataka, to build an
ecosystem of aerospace supply chain. The SEZ- which
has been granted in principle clearance by the Board
of Approvals - will be housing suppliers in a single
area and carry out precision machining.
